I followed Yan's dev streams on you-tube and I was super curious to try it out myself. It's simplicity, use of colours, art, creative monster design and gameplay is fantastic. Its great seeing my favorite You Tubers collaborate and create such a masterpiece game jam submission. Well done to the gang behind this.

Hey, thanks for watching my streams, much appreciated :)

Glad you liked our little game :)

Oh no, now I never want to become a fish again! So scary! Brrlrlrlrlrl

Wonderful game!

Haha thank you. It's scary down in the deep sea

That was... disconcerting.

Hiii, I've made a video about the game and wanted to share some feedback about it, hopefully it is useful to you ^^

-The concept of the game is pretty interesting.

-The gameplay mechanics are really interesting and make the gameplay experience very interesting.

-The game visually looks awesome, the only thing that could be improved is the animations on the faces of the charecters when they are talking.

-The voice acting is really good and really enjoyable.

Hopefully this is useful to you :D, also if you could subscribe that would help me a lot :)

Regards

Thanks for playing and making a video!

I'm glad you like our voice acting :)

I agree, the facial animations are really basic lol... would help if at least the eyes didn't move constantly haha

But overall, Noa, as always did a fantastic job with the art and environment design.

You are welcome ^^

Thank you!

if you right click too fast you fly super high its funny, but overall fun experience !

Haha yeah that was discovered by some of our players pretty much immediately after we launched it :D

We didn't catch that one while testing but oh well, it's kinda fun to do ^^

Beutiful art, no bugs found, overall great game

Thanks!

I want to get to this level of all round game design, this is just fantastic.

Thanks a lot! If you're not there yet, with time and practice, you can surely get there! (Also remember we're a team of 4 game makers and everyone did something for the game - couldn't have done it alone, especially in this time)

I liked it a lot the voice acting was really funny. Can you check my submission out. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/lostbrother

Ah, I'm sorry about that. We should probably think about adding controller support in an update...

it's ok. i have a mouse, but its right click is broken. :D hope i can fix it!

P. S. thank you for replying!

You can just swim past that guy at the end

(+1)

Huh, my change to the collider must've gotten reverted in a Unity collab hiccup then. I guess that makes a pacifist run possible :D

Loved the feel of this game. Great work!

Special congrats for the sounds! Loved the brbrbr sound when inflating.

(+1)

Hahaha yeah that sound was recorded by Klara. Was happy we got it implemented in the end.

Thank you for playing!

What an amazing experience. The art is absolutely stellar. The audio design is so immersive. The cutscenes are great and super charming.

The main gameplay mechanic is so simple, yet effective. It acts as a means to damage, but also makes you go really fast. This also promotes speed running of the game which is always a plus.

It was really neat seeing the fish change their expression as they go, even when Bubblyn inflates. I love the initial dopey happy faces they make at the start. So cute!

The camera also adjusts at just the right times for the fast-moving areas and the slow corridors.

There was one moment where there are two spinning eels, and I was wondering what might be their secret? I even returned back there after reaching the end to bring Booba back with me, but still, nothing happens. I feel like I’m missing out on some sort of secret… :3

Definitely a candidate for the best game of the jam in my opinion. This is incredibly special. I’m so glad I found and played this! blush

We're super happy you enjoyed it. Thanks a ton for playing! :)

Thank you for your in-depth and kind review! The spinning eels are something I put in last minute because the room was there but empty. Just supposed to be a little easter egg of sorts.

the suspense in the game was very nice, at each step I was curious about what was waiting for me ahead, very nice game and art...!!!!

Thanks! I'm glad we were able to create enough content to keep it interesting throughout for you :)

(+1)

I love this so much! Amazing art, even the voice over it's really fun and great for a game jam, impressive!

Thank you, Tomás! I am glad you like it!
